    6th I.P. Memorial Art Competition

    6th I.P. Memorial Art Competition was organized by SEBS on Shrawan 03, 2060 (July 19, 2003) at Lumbini International College, Mahalaxmisthan, Lagankhel, Lalitpur in the fond memory of our art teacher, Late Indra Pradhan. The theme of the competition was "Nepali Youth for Peace and Reconciliation". Mrs. Subhadra Pradhan, wife of Late Mr. Pradhan was the chief guest of the program. Mr. Shashi Shah was the chief judge and Mr. Krishna Manandhar and Mr. Macha Raja Maharjan were other judges of the program. Mr. Suraj Dahal, the president of SEBS chaired the program.

    Twelve schools and thirty-eight participants had participated in the competition.

    The official program started with Mrs. Pradhan lighting the lamp and garlanding the portrait of late Mr. Pradhan. Other guests, judges and the president of the SEBS also garlanded the portrait of late Mr. Pradhan. 376C Amit Gautam, the Program Coordinator delivered the welcome speech highlighting the program.

    Mrs. Subhadra Pradhan distributed certificates to all the participants and the participating schools and the sponsors of the program. She also distributed certificates and prizes to the individual best performers and overall best performing schools. The result is as follows:

    Junior Level: Anand Krishna - SOS Herman Gmeiner School
    Senior Level: Rocky Talchabhadel - Nobel Academy

    Junior Level: Bipin Thapa - Om Secondary School
    Senior Level: Jeewan Suwal - Himalayan White House

    Overall Best Performing Schools:
    Junior Level: SOS Herman Gmeiner School
    Senior Level: Nobel Academy School

    Overall Winner: Om Secondary School

    The Academic Coordinator of the Lumbini International College Mr. Sushil Poudel, also a co-sponsor of the program, expressed his satisfaction and commitment to conduct such programs on a regular basis at the college. The program ended with the vote of thanks from the president Suraj Dahal.

    The budget of the program is as under:

    Registration fee from the participating schools: 12*200 = 2,400.00
    Registration fee from the participants: 44*100 = 4,400.00, Lumbini International College 3,600.00,Knawang Karsang (819A) 14,950.00, Total Income 25,350.00

    (One of the judges Macha Raja Maharjan returned the allowance)
