Recreating SEBS-NA - An Online Organization
    Author: Sagar Onta
    Post Date: 3/8/2005
It’s been four years since the inception of SEBS-NA in 2000 July. In these years, SEBS-NA has managed to bag some exceptional projects like Doko Dai, which is by far the biggest project ever conducted by SEBS.

In these years, SEBS-NA has also come to realize that its survival depends on being able to provide institutional framework and creating a system that survives on its own, and growth with each member’s contribution and vision. In next year or two, the goal of SEBS-NA is to solidify that framework and organizational structure that will stand the test of time.

The first task in that regard is to make SEBS-NA a true online organization, the first of its kind, as we know it. The need to make SEBS-NA online is as clear as daylight. All members of SEBS-NA are scattered around the continent. To reach out to the members, internet and emails are the most efficient means. Secondly, the executive committee members are not located at one place. Hence, administrative status are not readily available for members to review and act on. So it is paramount that SEBS-NA administrative activities are conducted online.

The goal of the project is to create back-end programming for SEBS-NA to manage its day-to-day activities. I hope that SEBS and all others support this effort of SEBS-NA.

We will be solicitating interests from SEBS members who are willing to help in this venture. If you have any questions about this program, please feel free to write to us at sebsna@sebsonline.org

    Thank you
