    1. SEBS sponsors SAARC Cyclists' Tour:

    October 17, 2005, Kathmandu.
SEBS organized a farewell programme for cyclist Samir Shrestha at the premises of Nepal Children's' Organization (NCO), i.e. Nepal Balmandir, Naxal today. Children at Balmandir and Panchakanyas bid farewell to Shrestha, who is starting his journey to Bangladesh and Bhutan from Hetauda, tomorrow. His trip to Bangladesh and Bhutan is sponsored by SEBS. On the occasion Tika and Prasad were offered to the cyclist by the senior staffs of Balmandir and flowers garlanded by the Presidents of SEBS & SEBS-NA.

Upon the invitation of SEBS, the function and the program was well covered by the leading media houses of Nepal. i.e. TV as well as print medias of Kathmandu, namely, Kantipur Television and Image Channel Television as well as Reporters from Nepal Samacharpatra, The Himalayan Times and Annapurna Post were present on the occasion to cover our event. 2. SEBS Brings "Jazz for School Students":

November 10, 2005, Budhanilkantha School, Kathmandu.
SEBS in association with Upstairs Ideas, organized "Jazz for School Students" here at the School Assembly Hall. The show was part of the ongoing Fourth International Kathmandu Jazz Festival (December 4th-12th) 2005.

The "Free School show" organized and sponsored by SEBS was well attended by the enthusiastic and music-loving students of around 15 high schools and college of Kathmandu Valley, besides the A1 and A2 students of Budhanilkantha School, upon the cordial invitation from SEBS. The assembly hall was packed with the students.

SEBS is sponsoring and organizing this show for the second consecutive time, the major aim of which is to promote networking amongst the schools as well as to promote SEBS and its school-based activities; and in return seek support and cooperation from the invited schools for its future programs like inter-school painting and dance competitions.

The program would not have been possible without the kindest support and cooperation from Budhanilkantha School; which provided us with the venue and other necessary logistical supports besides two school buses to facilitate the transportation of the performing Band members and the students of other schools. This year, SEBS had provided a free pick and drop service from Kantipath, to the students of those schools which did not own a transport. from Kantipath.

SEBS extends its heartiest appreciation and gratitude to the School Management, students, teachers and all the staffs of BNKS for their overwhelming support for the show. Special thanks to Principal, Mr. N. P. Sharma, for all the support and cooperation extended to us throughout the event. Thanks to Vice Principal Mr. C.N. Pandey for all his support on the day of the event. Thanks to everyone who helped SEBS to make this event a success.

The program was well highlighted and covered by its official medias i.e. Nepali Times, The Himalayan Times and Image Channel Television. The show was well covered by the Image Television and its proceedings were later aired in its popular weekly program "Music of your Choice" which also included a brief interview (of one minute duration) with the SEBS President.

SEBS extends its special gratitude to Rakesh Vaidya (936A), Managing Director of CyberTheque, New Road, for supporting the event by sponsoring the refreshments. Thanks to all the SEBSers present to witness the show and to the Ex-Com members for all their hardwork.
