    The Andolan fund raised by SEBS-North America, amounting to Nrs. 147, 314, was distributed today at the Mahila Prasikchan Kendra, according Prashant dai, General Secretary of SEBS. Twenty-seven victims were each given cash of Rupees Five thousand Four Hundred (5,400). The Envelope included a letter from SEBS appreciating their sacrifice for freedom and wishing them a speedy recovery. Several SEBS members and a few journalists were present at the function. Former Presidents of SEBS Suraj Dahal and Prajesh Thapa and the current President Bishan Wagle handed out the money to the victims. The function concluded with refreshments.

    SEBS-North America would like to thank all donors, everyone involved in raising the money, in identifying the victims and in disbursing the money. Our special thanks are due to Prashant dai, General Secretary of SEBS, and other members of SEBS in Kathmandu who spent several days out of their busy schedule to identify the victims. Notable mentions include Bijaya, Chitra dai and Binod dai.

    Here are the details of the expenses:

    27 Victims x 5,400 = Nrs. 145,800
    Refreshment = Nrs. 1,360
    Total : Nrs. 147,160
