Relief Campaign for flood and landslides victims in Nepal

We are all aware of the destruction of life and properties of thousands of people of the poverty stricken regions of western Nepal, by the recent flooding and landslides. It is of paramount importance that we, in our part, as the responsible citizens of this country extend support to pacify the unspeakable miseries and pain the victims are currently enduring. In this regard, Society of Budhanilkantha School (SEBS) in association with Buddha Air Pvt. Ltd. has initiated a campaign to collect relief materials for the immediate distribution to the flood and land slide victims of the western Nepal. This campaign focuses in three areas: I. Collecting reusable goods e.g. clothes, cooking utensils, reusable Footwear, mosquito nets etc II. Collecting medical supplies like Jeevanjal, Cetamol, Cough Syrup, Antibiotics, water disinfectant like water guard, Piush etc. III. Collecting fund to purchase things based on the immediate needs e.g. dry foods we humbly request all the SEBSers to be part of this relief effort by contributing in whatever ways you can and we believe that your small effort in this noble effort will be of great help to victims of flood and landslides. Flood and Landslide Committee of SEBS formed: The SEBS executive committee meeting was held on 10th September, 2006 at SEBS office, Putalisadak and decided to form the SEBS flood and landslide committee with the aim of collecting and distributing essential materials to the recent flood and landslide victims. The following members were appointed by the SEBS committee meeting to facilitate the relief campaign. The main task of the committee is to collect and distribute relief items at the affected region Bardia, in western Terai. The committee decided to visit Bardia and distribute the collected items to the victims at their locality by Friday, 15th September 2006. Reports and periodic updates regarding the progress will be posted on sebsonline.org. The meeting decided to approach organisations established by SEBS members in Kathmandu for the financial assistance required for the flood and landslide stricken people. The meeting decided to confer letter of appreciations/ tokens to the donors. The following members of SEBS decided to make monetary contributions from their part to the flood relief campaign. It was meant to arouse incentives for the noble cause:
