Message from Members of 800B Regarding Hemraj Trust Fund
    Author: Yubraj Acharya, SEBS-North America
    Post Date: 10/3/2006
Dear SEBS members, friends and wellwishers,

The tragic death of Hemraj Bhandari (806B) was a big loss to all. We lost a friend and a brother who was always there for us. The messages posted at http://www.sebsonline.org/forum/forum_view.aspx?T=75198
and www.800b.net are testaments to the ways he has positively affected the lives of different generations of ex-Budhanilkantha students.

To keep his memory alive and assist his family, we are setting up the "Hemraj Trust Fund" that will provide financial support for Hemraj's family. We would like to kindly request you to make a donation. There are two ways to donate, you could either opt for one-time giving, which many of you have already done through the SEBS website, or commit for the monthly/quarterly donation for 3 years. Please note that the monthly/quarterly method does not necessarily mean that you will need to donate more than if you choose the monthly option. All the money thus collected will be given to his family members. The exact modality has not yet been formulated, but we will make sure that his siblings are not denied education because of financial reasons. The account will be made as transparent as is appropriate. We will regularly update SEBS, SEBS-NA and other interested parties/individuals with the details.

Please visit the link http://www.sebsonline.org/news/news_view.aspx?id=394 to make a donation. You could also make a donation by sending a check to SEBS-North America treasurer (please mention Hemraj's name in the memo) or by visiting the SEBS office in Putalisadak, Kathmandu (ph: 4-411390). If you are considering monthly/quarterly commitment, please let either Uttam (sharm061@umn.edu) or Jay (shrestha@uchicago.edu) know so that we can follow-up with you later. All the collected
money will most likely be later transferred to a separate account which will be managed by people from 800B (and some
SEBS and SEBS-NA officials as needed).

    Thank you.

    Sincerely,

    800B students.
