    KATHMANDU, Nov 22 (PR)

Anavaran, an eight-song music album of Manoj Acharya, the upcoming young lyricist, hit the capital’s music stores on Wednesday.

The album features the who’s who of the present generation pop singers singing to the lyrics penned by Acharya. Acharya, a noted sports journalist, is also a reporter in the Kantipur FM, a sister concern of the Kantipur Publications.

Despite having penned scores of songs for the popular songsters, this is the first such album produced by the 28-year old lyricist of the Sanjha Pakha fame.

Acharya, who believes that Nepali songs can have class as well as be able to appease the mass, has been writing poems for past 10 years. The album contains songs sung by the likes of Dipesh Kishor Bhattarai, Sunil K Bardeba, Ram Krishna Dhakal and Nabin K Bhattarai among others.

Priced at Rs 60, a part of the revenue from the album sales will go to Society of Ex-Budhanilkantha Students (SEBS), said Acharya. He also informed that the Compact Disc (CD) version of the album will be launched into the market soon.
