SEBS Helps the Madi Landmine Victims

SEBS has donated NRs Ten Thousand to the victims of the landmine explosion which occured at Madi,Chitwan, during the course of the Maoist Insurgency some two years ago engulfing the lives of thirty nine people, leaving other seventy two severely injured .This amount was given to the victims of the very incident, who till now have been a subject of government apathy and are still undergoing treatment in Chitwan hospital, through Helpful Friend,an organisation working for the welfare of the victims of the landmine explosion .The sum was handed over by the president of SEBS to the president of Helpful Friend, Mr Bal Kumar Aryal, at the cultural program organised by Helpful Friend to raise fund for the victims of landmine explosion, on 14 January 2007, at Nepal Tourism Board Hall,Kathmandu.
SEBS pledges all its members to provide a whole-hearted support to many other such victims of the insurgency.A little help on our part could change the lives of many conflict-stricken fellow Nepalese for the better.
