    SEBS provides financial assistance to Janaandolan victims

    KATHMANDU, Feb 4 - Society of Ex-Budhanilkantha Students (SEBS), the Budhanilkantha School alumni Saturday handed over funds amounting organized a "fund handover" programme in the capital to 18 individuals injured during the Janandolan last April.
    During the programme, chaired by Minister for Information and Communication Dilendra Prasad Badu, SEBS today distributed Rs 1,40,000 ($2000) among the 18 persons.
    The US based Alliance for Human Rights and Democracy in Nepal had handed over the relief sum of $2000 it had collected for treatment of the victims of the movement to the SEBS North America chapter, which in turn was disbursed during the programme today.
    Chairman of the committee for those injured during the movement, Dr Kedar Narsingh KC and SEBS chairman Dinesh Rokaya presented their views during the programme.
    Previously, SEBS had handed over an assistance of Rs. 5,400 each to 27 individuals injured during the Janandolan last April.
    Likewise, the SEBS had also organized a flood relief programme for the landslide and flood victims of western Nepal last Sptember, in which it had distributed 1800 separate packages for children, men and women, containing clothes and blankets, and some 4860 blankets and children’s clothes to 14 VDCs of Bardiya, Chitwan and Bajura districts.
