Minutes of 7th Executive Committee Meeting of SEBS

The President welcomed everybody in the meeting. The Agenda discussed in the today's meeting and resolutions passed under the chairmanship of SEBS President in presence of following members are as follows respectively.

Resolutions:
1. Chair of the SEBS Nationwide Scholarship ProgrammeMs Indu Adhikari briefed about the on going activities of SEBS Nationwide Scholarship Programme and handed SEBS Executive Committee a copy of its progress report which includes its major activities and funding status.
2. While briefing on his recent visit to UK Mr Mohan Kumar Giri (501B) informed the SEBS Executive Committee Meeting that he had an opportunity to meet with SEBS UK Executive Committee Members. While forwarding proposal of SEBS Complex to be initiated by SEBS in Nepal, he said that they were very much interested in supporting and contributing if special initiation and proposal including its Plan of Action, budget estimation as well as architectural design is forwarded to them.
3. SEBS Executive Committee Meeting settled the issue of House rent with written clarifications from concerned parties involved which were handed over to SEBS office for its documentation.. The meeting also decided that it found no mis-utilization of house rent, and decided to inform about it to the contributor of the fund 400B immediately.
4. After having discussion on this agenda about efforts to reinstall the disconnected telephone line of the SEBS, the SEBS Treasurer Mr Suman Mandal informed that SEBS needed around NRS 9500 to reconnect the telephone. In order to operate the SEBS telephone at the earliest, SEBS President Mr Suresh Acharya generously announced to contribute the cash of NRS 4500 and handed over to the SEBS Treasurer during the meeting. The meeting instructed the Treasurer to expedite the process of restoring the telephone line within a week, which was disconnected since more than two years due to non-payment of the Telecom surcharge. In the 6th meeting of the SEBS Executive Committee the donations of NRS 5000 obtained from Mr Bishan Wagle (952B) for the purpose of reconnecting the idle telephone line.
5. The meeting endorsed the proposal put forth by SEBS Nationwide Scholarship Programme Chair Ms. Indu Adhikari to re-activate the SEBS Post Box No. 3616 with immediate effect and to bear the costs for the renewal from NSP account.
6. As per the need of coordination of SEBS social events for the purpose of fund-raising for the SEBS, the meeting decided endorsed the appointment of Mr Mohan Kumar Giri (501B) in the post of SEBS Social Events Coordinator by the SEBS President, with immediate effect. All social events and activities of SEBS will be coordinated by him with the prior approval of SEBS.
7. The meeting decided to write to the webmaster of SEBS' portal namely, www.sebsonline.org not to entertain any posting that are libelous with personal attacks, vulgar, unethical, and that which infringes the privacy of any person. However, the meeting also decided that there should be no obstruction to the free flow of information and Right to Information of all SEBSers, and to welcome constructive criticisms and to encourage all members to display their names in online forums for initiating healthy discussion
8. The meeting ended today wishing all SEBSers a happy and joyful Tihar, until the next meeting is called at the venue, date and time intimated by the President
