It gives me a great pleasure to announce that Mr. Bisundev Mahato (707B) has been selected as the election commissioner for the upcoming SEBS-NA elections.

As you know, the current SEBS-NA executive committee will end its term and a new team will be selected during the upcoming SEBS-NA Annual General Meeting (AGM). The exact time of the AGM has not been decided yet, but the event will coincide with ANA Convention 2010 being held in Boston, MA over the July 4th weekend.

An illustrious alumni of Budhanilkantha School, Bisundev dai is frequently in the news over various awards and recognitions received; research papers published that have become required graduate level course material and influenced policy level decisions and even caused thousands of people to march in NY city for better health care. Despite his busy schedule, Bisundev dai has been an active member of NSP-NA helping raise funds for providing educational scholarships to needy students in Nepal.

As an election commissioner, Bisundev dai will solicit applications for the 2010-2012 SEBS-NA executive committee, inform candidates and members of election guidelines, conduct the election, tally the votes and inform the public about the results. He will also have the final word on any issues that might arise during the election.

On behalf of SEBS-NA, I would like to thank Bisundev dai for volunteering for this important role, and would like to invite all members to help make this election fun, fair and successful!
