SEBS TO SUPPORT THE JAZZ SHOW BY FOCUS CLUB AT BUDHANILKANTHA SCHOOL PREMISE

June 1, Kathmandu: The FOCUS (Forum of Cultural Unity on Stage) Club of Budhanilkantha School, with the funding support of the Society Of Ex Budhanilkantha Students (SEBS) is going to organize a Jazz Concert at Budhanilkantha (BNK) School premise on Sunday 6th June 2010.

As per FOCUS's submission to the SEBS on May 28th requesting funding support for the Jazz event, the SEBS has decided to provide cash grant to the FOCUS Club to hire drums and amplifiers for the show.

SEBS President Suresh Acharya has requested all SEBSers to support and participate in the unique event. The SEBS has the policy to support such programs conducted by BNK Schools and ex-students. SEBSers who wish to attend the show can contact Ms Goma Sharma, Administrative Officer at the SEBS Office (Tel. 4411390) from June 2nd to June 4th (11:00 am to 3:00 pm) to collect the Free Entrance Pass.

Some of the FOCUS Club members had participated in the "Broadway Bridges to Kathmandu" an event jointly organized by the American Voices and the US Embassy on 3rd of April in Kathmandu.

The FOCUS Club thus has decided to promote jazz culture in Budhanilkantha School as well as promote it in other schools in Nepal. This Club is run by the senior most student batch of the BNK School and it has been organizing musical and cultural events on stage since 1998. The club is fully focused to promote and bring out hidden talents of youths.
