Kathmandu, June 14, 2010: The Society of Ex-Budhanilkantha Students (SEBS) has provided a grant assistance to Budhanilkantha School's BNKS dotNET Club today in Kathmandu.

SEBS Pesident Suresh Acharya handed the cheque to BNKS dotNET President Akchaya (164D) amidst a function today. During the function SEBS President Acharya said, "The SEBS is pleased to support School clubs' projects on the institutional basis in accordance with its policy and mandate." The BNKS dotNet President Akchaya thank the SEBS for its generous support to the School and its clubs according to its renewed policies. The BNKSdotNET is the second club from Budhanilkantha School receiving the grant assistance from the SEBS within a period of a week.

The SEBS has also assured the Club members that BNKS dotNET being a School affiliate, the SEBS is always at its arms-length to assist the Club, if any problem arises to implement the project in future.

The BNKS dotNET has initiated to promote Open Source Softwares such as Linux, Ubuntu etc. as an act to stop piracy and also to learn newer systems. The BNKS dotNET Club along with the IT Department of Budhanilkantha School has proposed to change the current Language Room in the LRC Building into a LINUX Lab with the support of the SEBS.

With the introduction of such an improvement, BNKS would be one of few schools and colleges to have such a lab in Nepal, that will help convert BNKS lab into a “Clean Lab” of new generation.

The inaugural of the Clean Lab is scheduled to be held on Thursday June 17, 2010 at LRC in Budhanilkantha School at 4:00 pm. The members of the SEBS ex-comm will participate in the program.
