Dear All,

First of all I would like to update you with some of the important steps taken by SEBS towards Resham Acharya 318B's Treatment for his heart surgery.

The meeting of the SEBS ex com meeting presided by SEBS president Suresh Acharya in the presence of Resham Dai' and his family members and SEBS members from 300 B batch,has decided the followings.

1. It has formed a Fund Release Recommendation Committee of the following members:

Mr Upendra Bom- Coordinator- On Behalf of SEBS
Mr Hari Sharma- Coordinator- On Behalf of SEBS-NA
Mr Dinesh Rokaya- 300 Batch Coordinator
Mr Suresh Acharya- Member
Mr Bolaram Pandey- Member.

This committee shall release the fund as when needed upon agreed by the committee members based upon the agreement reached in consultation with SEBS, SEBS NA and SEBS UK members .All the transaction shall me maintained through issue of Cheque and a separate income/ expenditure file along with bills and supportive documents will be established at SEBS office. All the donated money shall first be deposited in SEBS main account and disbursed there after.

2. The meeting also decided that Resham Dai Shall consult with Dr Yadav Dev Bhatta, Senior Cardiologist and SEBS memeber at Shaid Gandhga Lal, Kathamndu on June 2, 2011 at 11:30 as appointment scheduled by SEBS president Suresh Acharya. He Shall also consult with Dr Sajan Vaidya, Senior SEBSer at Ganga lal, based upon consultation with them, and family's recommendation, a cost estimation of the treatment and place of the treatment shall be finalized.

3. The meeting thanked all the SEBS and SEBS NA/SEBS UK members and its we-lwishers for shouldering towards fund raising initiative and donation for the cause towards heart surgery of Resham Acharya 318 B.

4. Dinesh Rokaya, former SEBS President informed in the meeting that his batch mates in Nepal are in the process of collecting Nrs 5000 per head and he will update us as status of fund as per his collection initiative.

Follow up consultations/ Updates
1.June 3-4,2011Resham Acharya, in consultation with Dr Yadav Dev Bhatta, senior cardilogist at Gangalalhospital,priminent sebser and Dr Bharat Raut,one of the topmost senior cardilogist at Norvic International Hospital in Kathmandu have refereed Rehsham Acharya's treatment to be done in India. Dr Raut has written reference letter to to one of the senior Dr Anil Bhan working at Medanta (the Medicity), Guragaun, Haryana, near New Delhi.The team lead by Dr Bhan shall take care of the whole treatment process.So Resham dai and his family members have decided to got to India for the purpose of heart surgery to be done as early as possible with Dr Bhan.
On June 12, 2011, Mr Upendra Bom,SEBS General Secretary and Coordinator of Fund Release committee, handed over a cheque of Nrs 1,80,000(one lakh eighty thousand only) to Resham Achrya 318 B,as an advance payments towards his heart surgery in presence of his wife Indira Adhikari and brother Leknath Acharya.

2. The Heart Surgery of Resham Acharya(318 B) was operated successfully at Medanta Hopsital, Gurgaon, India on June 18, 2011. The operation was fully supported by the fund collected from SEBS members worldwide. We take this moment of pride and an exemplary accomplishment and solidarity by SEBSERS
3. On June 20, 2011, Mr Upendra Bom,SEBS General Secretary and Coordinator of Fund Release committee, handed over a cheque of Nrs 6,20,000(six lakh twenty thousand only) to leknath Acharya,the brother of Resham Acheary,as the second installment of payments towards the surgery costs and expenses.
