    Post Date: 8/17/2012
STATEMENT BY THE NEWLY ELECTED PRESIDENT OF THE SOCIETY FOR EX-BUDHANILKANTHA STUDENTS (SEBS) Dr. TEJSU SINGH MALLA (248C) ON THE ASSUMPTION TO THE POST OF PRESIDENT OF SEBS ON AUGUST 13. 2012 MONDAY

    My dear brothers & sisters,
The 30th SEBS AGM election held on 11th August 2012 showed good presence of SEBSer from the very first batch to the latest batch. The activeness and passion shown by the junior most SEBSer 200D batch is highly appreciable, and I hope they will continue showing this kind of activeness and passion.

My sincere thanks to all SEBSer for electing me to the highest office of the SEBS on 30th AGM and the trust and confidence shown towards me to lead the SEBS.

I would also like to express my thanks to all SEBSers who are residing in Nepal and abroad for their affection and kind support to me but were unable to attend the 30th Annual General Meeting.

I am grateful to Mr. NP Sharma, Principal of Budhanilkantha School for his august presence at the AGM echoing his concerns and support to SEBS, Board of Trustees (BOT), Friends of Budhanilkantha School (FOBS), School Management Committee (SMC), and I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all SEBSers and colleagues, former presidents and office-bearers of SEBS ex-comm, SEBS-NA, SEBS-UK, different SEBS chapters, students of BNKS, and well-wishers for felicitating newly elected ex-comm and showing commitment to support the programs and activities aim to centering the SEBS, and believing that what SEBS needs now is active leadership from the younger generation.

As a SEBS president, my top priority will be:
    • Build a stronger alumni network through social events and gathering. Intensify outreach programs starting by
building a communication network with current students of
    Budhanilkantha through regular meetings.
    • Give voice to the needs of our members. I believe SEBS should play a greater role in leading our alumni. We are the ones closest to members and we should bring forth new ideas that reflect the members need and desire.
    • Ensure the alumni is financially responsible. Emphasis will be give on fund transparency with reporting.
    • Recruit new members and revive old members, as I believe that the biggest asset of SEBS are it’s own members.
    • Build consensus and deliver results, establish trust.
    • Re-introducing programmes done in the past which has been ignored since few years such as Career guidance counseling session, Annual blood donation programme, health camp, relief campaign for natural calamities victims, Binod memorial dance competition, I.P. memorial art competition,Deusi-bhailo program, SEBS sandhya and Publication such as
    Aastha magazine and newsletters.
    • Re vitalize relation with different SEBS chapter–SEBS NA,SEBS- UK.

I am fully confident that the new team under my leadership will put in all efforts and focus on BCNL-Budhanilkantha School, Community service, Networking and Leadership.
We must work together with dignity, hard work, commitment and use our imagination to build the structure for mentoring newcomers and providing rewarding experiences for all members. That will ensure our alumni to last more years to come.
The new Executive Committee will be guided by the decisions made at the AGM, and I would like to give assurance to all SEBSers on behalf of the Executive Committee that we will not let down their expectation and trust

Speak less and deliver more!!! This is my goal for the year and one that I promise to deliver on.

Vision without action is a day dream, action without vision in a nightmare.

I thank you all for seeing the vision in me, and electing me the first younger generation C Batch, President in SEBS history.

    SEBSer from heart.

    Dr. Tejsu Singh Malla 248C
    SEBS President
    2012/2013
