    9th SEBS Minute meeting

    Minute 9

    Date: 25 December 2012 (10 Poush 2069), Tuesday
    Venue: SEBS Office, Putalisadak, Kathmandu.
    Time: 5 pm to 6:30 pm


    The 9th SEBS meeting was held on 25 December 2012 ( 10 Poush 2069), Tuesday SEBS Office, Putalisadak, Kathmandu, under the chairmanship of SEBS President Dr. Tejsu Singh Malla.
    Following issue was discussed and decision was made.

    1.I.P. Memorial Art competition 2069

    Details of I.P.Memorial Inter School Art competition was discussed. Mr. Rajesh Nepali has already presented the report which has been made available to SEBSer in sebsonline.org
    SEBS Executive committee 2012-2013 would once again like to thank Mr. Rajesh Nepali for organizing this event. I.P. Memorial Inter School Art competition was held after a gap of 3 years.

    2.Clothes donation programme

    SEBS Ex.com thanked Dr. Sneedha Mainali for coordinating the clothes donation programme.SEBS would also like to thank all the persons involved in the programme.
    The Campaign of collecting clothes had started 10 days back and ended with handover of the clothes to Mr.Rabin Chapagain and Mr.Ujwal Dhungana of Youth For Blood Kathmandu , who will be transporting the clothes to the Biratnagar.
    This campaign is a small step of SEBS to help saves lives.


    3.Binod Memorial Dance Competition 2069

    The programme coordinator of Binod Memorial Dance Competition Dr.Tejsu Singh Malla informed the ex.com that the programme was schedule for February 2013. He also informed that details of the programme have already been worked out and letters for the school has already been issued.
    He also informed that about 10-15 volunteer’s were needed for the programme
    SEBSer/ non sebser interested to volunteer are requested to contact SEBS office .

    4.SEBS Monthly gathering

    Planning of SEBS Monthly gathering is on the way. Currently we are talking with different institutes willing to provide SEBS the venue.

    5.SEBS-Batch representatives meetings.

    It was decided to postpond the SEBS-Batch Representatives meeting earlier schedule to be held on Dec 29th (14th Poush) until further notice. The SEBS Executive committee 2012-2013, request interested person to represent their respective batch to contact with SEBS Office.

    6.SEBS-India Chapter

    A request for formation of SEBS-India Chapter was made to SEBS by Nitish Karki 083 C through a letter on 7th December 2012.
    In accordance with SEBS Chapter Rule, 2067. It was decided to grant the formation of SEBS-India Chapter after signing the MOU.

    7.SEBS Audit report

    The progress of SEBS Audit report was updated. The audit report is currently in the process of being submitted to Tax Office and CDO office.

    8.SEBS Privilage Card.

    It was decided to issue a SEBS Privilage card as early as possible.We are currently working in the final detail.

    9.Opening a bank account in Nepal Investment Bank.

    It was decided to open a bank account in Nepal Investment Bank to ensure easy transaction and transparency.

    10.SEBS -SMASH Programme

    SEBS is working with SMASH (Stop Molestation And Sexual Harassment) to organize a seminar for the female students of Budhanilkantha School. Executive member Ishan Pokhrel 345 C would be coordinating the programme from SEBS side. The Talk programme is schedule after the opening of school from winter holidays.

    11.SEBS- National Scholarship Programme (NSP)

    It was decided to issue a second reminder to SEBS- National Scholarship Programme (NSP) team.SEBS-NSP through a letter dated 4th Poush 2069, Ref: 069/02/00061 was requested to 1) Avoid any fund transfer be conducted without coordinating with Mr.Suman Mandal, SEBS Treasurer or Mr. Kaushal Raj Sapkota,SEBS General Secretary until further notice. (2)Present Audit report of fiscal year 2068/2069 within 5 days, (3) Present of all financial transaction following the audit report along with bank statement within 5 days, (4)Present Name and signatories of all the bank account of SEBS-NSP, within 5 days, (5)Present details of all the students currently receiving the scholarship, within 5 days.
    The NSP team was requested to be present at SEBS 9th meeting, but has failed to show up.
    If the NSP Team continues to ignore the second reminder, within 7 days then SEBS Executive committee 2012-2013 would be forced to act as per SEBS AOA.

    12.Daily Expenditure Book

    It was decided to maintain the daily expenditure book along with bills. Any financial loan would be paid at the end of every month.

    13.Office Secretary work performance review.

    It was decide to review the work performance of Office Secretary Ms. Goma Sharma and to deduct 1% of government tax from her salary every month from the day the current executive committee was elected.
