    Minute 11

    Date: February 2, 2013
    Venue: SEBS Office, Putalisadak, Kathmandu.
    Time: 5 pm to 6:30 pm

    The 11th SEBS meeting was held under the chairmanship of SEBS President Dr. Tejsu Singh Malla.
    Following issues were discussed and decided accordingly as mentioned below:

    NSP Updates:

    The executive committee members of Nationwide Scholarship Program updated SEBS with their financial statement of the year till Poush 2069. Auditor Birendra Panthi (KHA 0686/059 ICAN) on his audited report dated 30.01.2013 presented the financial details on NSP as under:
    Total Fixed Deposit Bank Balance: NRs. 30,00,000/-
    Manakamana Development Bank Pvt. Ltd. NRs. 15,00,000/-
    ILFC NRs. 15,00,000/-
    Total Ending Bank Balance in Saving Accounts: NRs. 78, 190/-
    Manakamana Development Bank Pvt. Ltd. NRs. 13,941/-
    NCC Bank NRs. 10,734/-
    ILFC NRs. 40,027/-
    Lumbini Leasing and Finance Co. NRs. 13,488/-
    Total Income: NRs. 2,22,792/-
    Total Expenses (Operating): NRs. 2,88,851/-
    Tax on Interest: NRs. 30,830/-

    The executive committee carefully checked the financial statements and confirmed with the auditor in coming to a conclusion that NSP accounts have been handled carefully and is without any financial irregularities. The committee hereby would like to label the issues surrounding two of NSP officials raised by our valuable members not to be an organizational offence and that our accounting books have not been manipulated or misused. The case was purely personal.

    13th Binod Memorial Dance Competition

    Due to the schooling calendar of different school and their winter vacation schedule the executive committee has postponed 13th Binod Memorial Dance Competition to be conducted in the month of Jestha 2070. In the meanwhile, Kamal Khadka, brother of Late Binod Khadka committed on contributing in cash for a fund to be established in his brother’s name. SEBS Ex-Com decided to transfer the fund into a fixed deposit account and create a clause whereby only the interest shall be used for the successful organization of Binod Memorial Dance Competition’s every year.

    SEBS Audit Report

    SEBS shall be auditing their accounts for last as well as current fiscal year at the end of current executive committee’s tenure. The report then shall be submitted to the office of Chief District Officer.

    Prominent SEBSERs

    Colonel Himanshu from the Office of the Chief of Army Services requested the Executive Committee to provide them with a list of 50 prominent SEBSers who have been actively involved in SEBS in the recent years for their contact database. General Secretary Kaushal Raj Sapkota and Ex-Com Member Sharthak Neupane shall be producing a list in doing the needful.

    B&B Tour

    Senior most science students of 3000 D batch of Budhanilkantha School had a brief tour on the MRI and X-Ray section of the B&B Hospital Pvt. Ltd. last month as a part of their excursion trip. The trip was organized by SEBS under the leadership and coordination of Dr. Tejsu Singh Malla. SEBS is thankful to the hospital authorities for their immense support.

    3000 D Orientation

    The decline in life membership issuance has been an issue felt of serious consequence to SEBS. Upon identifying the cause of it SEBS found that people were not aware of what SEBS meant for them. Hence this year the executive committee shall be spear heading a committee to orient the senior batch of BNKS and designing a membership kit to the new life members when they graduate. General Secretary Kaushal Raj Sapkota and Ex-Com Members Sabril Lamichhane and Sharthak Neupane will be looking after it.

    Bi-monthly Gatherings

    SEBS Ex-Com and two of our active members Ujwal Thapa and Vidhan Rana shall be conducting bi-monthly gatherings to enhance networking among SEBSers. The gatherings shall be exclusive to Ex-Budhanilkantha Students.
