Date: 23 March, 2013 (10th Chaitra 2069)
Venue: SEBS Office, Putalisadak, Kathmandu.
Time: 11 pm to 12:30 pm

The 12th SEBS meeting was held under the chairmanship of SEBS President Dr. Tejsu Singh Malla.
Following issues were discussed and decided accordingly as mentioned below:

1.SEBS Dental Health Camp (in Hetauda).(Experience sharing by SEBSer Sharthak Neupane)

Sharthak Neupane 288D, shared his experience about the Dental Health Camp which took place on 2nd March 2013, at Edu Vision Foundation, Hetauda. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Sneedha Mainali and SEBS had sent two volunteer’s Sharthak (288D) and Bishad Kafle (200D).
SEBS thanks Dr. Mainali, and her team. We also appreciate all the hard work done by Sharthak and Bishad.

2.Dental Health Camp at Maiti Nepal

The camp is under plan but since Dr.Sneedha Mainali could not be present as she is sick, we will be discussing this issue in the future.

3.Formation of SEBS Annual Magazine (AASTHA) committee.

It was decided to form AASTHA Committee. IIt was decided that a editorial team, management team and designing and layout team would be formed. SEBS would be hiring a paid intern (Opportunity to fresh graduates who has completed A2/ +2 level would be given).

4.SEBS Life membership Package and Presentation

G.S. of SEBS, Kaushal Raj Sapkota presented his concept of orientation programme for the new SEBSer. It was decide to meet the current A2 level student on 27th Chaitra and give an orientation class to them. SEBS would also be issuing a life membership with membership kit to interested students after the final examination of A2 (expected on May/June). General Secretary Kaushal Raj Sapkota and Ex-Com Members Sabril Lamichanne and Sharthak Neupane will be looking at this issue.

5. Discussion on ""Absence of Ex.com member's at SEBS meeting"

It was decided that a letter would be issued to SEBS Ex.com members who have not given prior information and have been absent in 3 consecutive SEBS executive meeting .If inspite of the letter, the members fails to respond, then we would be giving opportunity to other SEBSer who have shown their interest. Also, as ex.com member Ishan is leaving the country and heading for Canada, we would wish him all the best for his future.

6.SEBS Bi-Monthly Get together

The date and time of SEBS bi-monthly get together has been decided. The date has been set to 4th April 2013, at 5:30 pm, at Nirvana Fitness centre, Jawalakhel. Ujwal Thapa and Vidhan Rana will be coordinating the programme. Our first speaker will be Birendra Basnet 200A of Buddha Air. He will be talking about agriculture. This event is aimed at networking among it’s members.

7.SEBS Calendar

It was also decided to produce a SEBS Calendar this year. Deepak Shah 212 C, will be coordinating the event. We plan to launch it in 1st week of Baishak 2070. Deepak and his team are meeting this Wednesday for a photographic shoot at Budhanilkantha School. Any SEBSer having an interest in photography are requested to call Deepak (9851032956).

8.SEBS farewell function to the outgoing principal

SEBS would be organizing a farewell function for the outgoing principal of Budhanilkantha School, Mr. N.P.Sharma. It was also informed by 1st VP and SEBS representative to FOBS, Mr. Bidur Adhikari that FOBS would be also organizing a similar programme, thus it was suggested that SEBS and FOBS should work together, thus we will work on the farewell function to be organized by SEBS and FOBS. Mr. Bidur Adhikari will be working at this issue.

9.SMC/BOT

Mr. Suresh Acharya 136 A, I.P.P and current representative of SEBS in BOT/SMC informed SEBS through a telephonic conversation (during SEBS meeting) that last BOT/SMC was held during the selection of principal. No meeting has taken place after that meeting, he however informed SEBS that a meeting might take place within 2 weeks. The BOT/SMC had not taken place as everyone was busy with S.L.C examination. We thank SEBSer Prenit Pokhrel 900B for raising the issue.

10.A discussion of a message of SEBSer Bishnu Pariya 300C, was also discussed in the meeting. We will be taking his concern to SMC/BOT in the upcoming meeting. Mr. Pariyar had concern regarding the incident which took some time back when the school wall had collapsed and a girl Nisha Subedi was killed. Nisha Subedi was a student of a local school.

11.Student Festival 2013

The ex.com decided to support the Student Festival 2013, at Tundhikhel, Kathmandu on 31st Chaitra, 2069 (13th April, 2013) Saturday.
The event is an one day event and is being organized by Connection Development Publication House Pvt. Ltd . The Event aims to link students all over Nepal and the event is expected to be visited by more than 30,000 visitors. SEBS will be it’s one of the supporting partners.

12.SEBS meeting to be held on 1st Saturday of Nepali month at 11 am.

It was also decided to hold SEBS regular meeting which takes place once a month on first Saturday of Nepali Month. Thus, the Next SEBS Ex.com regular meeting will be held on 7th Baishak 2070 (20th April 2013) at 11 am at SEBS office, Putalisadak.
