Venue: SEBS Office, Putalisadak, Kathmandu.
Time: 1 pm to 4:00 pm

The 13th SEBS meeting was held under the chairmanship of SEBS President Dr. Tejsu Singh Malla.
Following issues were discussed and decided accordingly as mentioned below:

1.Welcome new member in the SEBS executive committee 2012/2013.

On behalf of the SEBS Executive committee, SEBS President Dr.Tejsu Singh Malla (248C) welcomed Vidhan Rana (349C) who has joined the SEBS Executive committee since 4th April 2013. A seat in executive committee was vacant in the executive committee after Ishan Pokharel (345C) went to Canada for his further studies. Vidhan had previously worked in NSP-NA and has been regularly donating since the current ex.com took to the office. Vidhan will be actively working for SEBS with NSP team and will be focusing on a few activities. One is improving networking within SEBS. Second is working on NSP.
NSP did amazing work in the 90s when SEBSer from 200B set it up in 1991. Today the program has appeared to have a lot of its relevance. Being an active member of NSP since 2006, Vidan will be having conversation with major NSP stakeholders, both current and past.

2.SEBS Bi-Monthly Get together post event discussion:

Briefing of Ten Past Six (TPS), a SEBS networking event which was held on 4th April 2013, at 6:10 pm, Nirvana Fitness centre, Jawalakhel was done. The programme was coordinated by Ujwal Thapa (500B) and Vidhan Rana (349C).The speaker of first TPS was Birendra Basnet 200A of Buddha Air, who talked about agriculture in Nepal and it’s aspect. The event saw active participant of about 35 SEBSer. Positive suggestion was given by the members of the executive committee. The SEBS President, stressed that the executive committee should actively participate in this kind of event. The Second TPS will be held on May 2013.

3.Formation of SEBS Annual Magazine (AASTHA) committee.

AASTHA Committee for 2012/2013 have been formed. Koshmos B.K –Advisor, Devendra Dhungana-Chief Editor, Deepak Shah 212 C, Kaushal Raj Sapkota (041C)-designing and layout.Sharthak Neupane(288 D),Sabril Lamichanne (2005 D)- Advertisement. Anik Yadav(200D), Rajendra Bista (700C)-Articles. SEBS is also looking for 2 interns-who would be paid(Opportunity to fresh graduates who has completed A2/ +2 level would be given). SEBS is also looking for members who are interested to join the Aastha team.

4. Final design of T-shirt:

The final design of SEBS T-Shirt 2012/2013 was presented by Kaushal Raj Sapkota(041C). The SEBS T-Shirt will be printed and ready for sale within 2-3 months

5. Student Festival 2013

The Student Festival 2013, to be held at Tundhikhel, Kathmandu on 31st Chaitra, 2069 (13th April, 2013) Saturday was postponed by the organizing committee. SEBS was one of it’s supporting partners. The new date of programme would be mentioned later on. This one day event , was aimed to link students all over Nepal and the event was expected to be visited by more than 30,000 visitors.

6. As 1st VP Bidur Adhikari (171B) was out of station the following issue raised by him in face book SEBS Executive page had to be postpond. (1). Seperate representation for SMC and BOT i.e. two persons. (2) Confirmation on enrollment of a student among a SEBSers from the school.

7. SEBS-NSP and what now.

Discussion regarding how SEBS-NSP could be more effective was done. There were various ideas, and it was decided that 2nd Vice President: Bidhyman Mahartara 806 C would coordinated a meeting with NSP team on Wednesday, 24th april 2013 (11th Baishak )2070, @ 5 pm at SEBS office, Putalisadak and upon the request of SEBS-NSP team has been postpond to 18th Baishak 2070 (1 May 2013)@ 5 pm at SEBS office, Putalisadak, Wednesday at 5 pm.
Also the acting program coordinator of NSP Mr. Lalit has been reminded to present the name of the school, and contact address of the students currently receiving Scholarship, as per our 10th minute meeting,held on January 2013 (21 Poush 2069), Saturday.
Any constructive suggestion are welcome. This will be a closed meeting and all SEBS Executive committee members, NSP team members are requested to attend it.

8. SEBS next regular monthly meeting will be held on 1st Saturday of Jestha (4th Jestha 2070/18 May 2013) at 1pm at SEBS office, Putalisadak.
