    SEBS 9th minute meeting

    9th minute meeting was held on Sep 6th 2014 at sebs office under chairmanship of president Dr. Sneedha Mainali .

    1. President Sneedha Mainali attended the BNKS SMC Meeting and she let the members know about various issues raised in the meeting for eg:-budget proposal, 10+2 Results, school winning national award, bio diversity garden - funded by British Embassy, dhara project
    2. Sebs is going to head the medical and dental health camp being organized by Himalayan family healthcare project in manang district from 18th to 23rd of october
    3. About Binod Memorial Dance Competition, it has been decided to talk to BInod dais family members by Vidhan Rana and Sneedha Mainali. following issues were discussed
    a. Talk with FOCUS club to see if they can take responsibility for the program
    b. SEBS is facing undue pressure in organizing memorial events
    c. Events should only go ahead if there is family or batch support in program
    d. SEBS will partner with BNKS clubs to organize memorial events
    4. Vidhan Rana's loan to SEBS of Rs. 30,000 has been paid off by sebs.Vidhan Rana has transferred this fund to BBC for sebs support Fund, 100% of the interest going to SEBS.
    5. It has also been decided that SEBS will request BBC to transfer the interest collected in BBC- SEBS support fund to SEBS account
    6. Ten Past Six Networking Event
    a. It was decided that SEBS Excomm will organize a SEBS networking event on the last Fridays of every alternative month
    b. The first event will be done in end of October
    c. It will be an informal social gathering event with no guest speakers
    7. Tennis Court
    a. We have not been able to find a contractor to carry out the work
    b. Work has to be done during the tenure of this Executive Committee and Vidhan Rana says that he will be responsible to make it happen.
    8. SEBS is going to attend BNKS Graduation Ceremony on 13th of September. Membership Fee needs to be collected from the school and Ashmita will lead .
    9. Progress status of NSP
    a. Potential partnership with Bloom Nepal (led by SEBSers Ram & Rajendra 600C) is being explored
    b. Another potential collaboration is with Tulsi Shahi - Scholarships in Karnali
    10. Progress status BNKS Endowment Fund
    a. Sandesh 350C is taking a lead on this from SEBS-NA side
    b. Sandesh will be in Nepal in December and we can inquire how SEBS can contribute to this effort
    11. Aastha Magazine
    a. Discussion held on whether it makes sense to go online instead of printing a magazine
    i. going online will be easier
    ii. advertisements may suffer if we go online
    b. Previous issues can be made online version
    c. Collect advertizement as normal
