Executive Committee Meeting – SEBS Reconstruction Project

The executive committee meeting on July 18, 2015 made important decisions regarding SEBS Re-construction Project. Endorsed by 7 executive committee members and 3 other SEBSers the meeting decided on some important resolutions. The decisions taken in the meeting are as under:

? A Post Earthquake Reconstruction Steering Committee (referred as SC hereafter) will be formed in the chairmanship of KomalKarki. The 12 membered SC will have 2 members from the Executive Committee, 5 members from SEBSers residing in Nepal and the remaining 5 members would be selected by the SEBS President based on the nominations made by the President of SEBS North America.
? Dr. SneedhaMainali, President (SEBS) and SumanMandal (2nd VP) will be the two members representing the Executive Committee in the SC with the latter being the secretary of the SC.
? The members of the SC as endorsed by the executive committee are as under:
? KomalKarki, Chairperson of the SC
? SumanMandal, Secretary of the SC
? Dr. SneedhaMainali
? Gyanendra Raj Pandey
? Subhakanta Sharma
? 2 members selected by the Chairperson of the SC based on their technical prowess and the need of the SC
? 5 members selected by the SEBS President based on the nominations made by the President of SEBS-NA.
? An independent account shall be opened for all financial transactions that will take place during the project. The executive committee will immediately transfer NPR. 13,000,000/- (Thirteen million only) to the bank account of the SC. The Chairperson of the SC, SEBS President and the secretary of the SC will act as the signatories of the account and other financial decisions.
? The SC has independent rights to hire and nominate members for the Implementation Team of the reconstruction project.

The SEBS Executive Committee hereby endorses the decisions take in the meeting of July 18, 2015 held at SEBS Office, Putalisadak.
