    Dr. Laba Karki (680A):
    Dr. Karki is an Immigration and Patent Attorney residing in Fairfax, Virginia. He is active with pro-bono work and has represented indigent clients regarding political asylum, TPS, Social Security Disability as well as immigration removal defense before Federal and State courts. He is an active alumni of SEBS-North America.

    Bar Admissions: Virginia, District of Columbia, U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) - Registered Patent Attorney
    Education: George Washington University Law School, (J.D.); Yale University, (P.D.F.); Northwestern University, (Ph.D.); Davidson College, B.S., Cum Laude.

    Ms. Aakriti Khanal, Adhikaar
    Aakriti Khanal was born in Nepal and moved to the US when she was 11 years old. She currently lives in NYC and works for Adhikaar ( http://www.adhikaar.org/ ) as a Research and Development Coordinator. She studied Government and International Politics at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA and proceeded to work as the Special Assistant to the Ambassador of Nepal to the U.S. in Washington, D.C. In the past, she has worked as a union organizer for Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and as an intern at the office of Senator Tom Harkin at the U.S. Capitol Hill. Aakriti has been working on TPS related efforts since 2015. She deeply cares about labor, immigration and gender issues and is fluent in Nepali, English, Hindi and Spanish.
