Call for the nominations of The Board of Directors and Officers Term 2019-2021, SEBS-NA August 11, 2019
Election Commission of SEBS-North America (SEBS-NA) seeks nomination for all positions of SEBS-NA’s Executive Committee for the term year 2019-2021. All interested candidates are required to file for candidacy by sending an e-mail to sebsnaelection@sebsonline.org by August 20 th , 2019 (midnight EST).
Nominations are available for the following positions:
President - 1 Vice-President - 1 General Secretary – 1 Joint Secretary – 1 Treasurer – 1 Executive Members-7
While submitting candidacy, the following guidelines must be followed:
1. One individual is eligible to compete for only one position. 2. Be a SEBS-NA member in good standing. 3. Must be 18 years old by the filing date. 4. Eligibility requirement for the President: Candidate for the post of President must have served at least one year in the Executive Committee of SEBS-NA or any other official SEBS organizations around the globe, be residing in North America and be a bonafide graduate of Budhanilkantha School (BNKS) with a minimum Bachelor’s degree. 5. For other office and executive member positions: Candidate must be residing in North America and be a bonafide graduate of BNKS with a minimum SLC degree. 6. Only nominations sent to the email address sebsnaelection@sebsonline.org will be considered by the election commission.
The following details of the candidate must be provided in email: a. Position contesting b. Full name c. Current mailing address d. Valid email address e. Verifiable phone number f. Short bio about yourself
Eligibility requirement for voters: Voters must be residing in the North America and be a bonafide graduate of BNKS. For detail information on voter eligibility requirements, please refer to Article I, Section II and Article VIII, Section I of bylaws. The election committee will confirm each eligible submission and subsequently make a formal announcement of each interested candidates on or before August 22, 2019.
Any interested candidate will automatically fill uncontested positions. If there is more than one candidate seeking a position, an election will be held online to elect the winner for that particular position. The detail information about online voting will be provided as required.
If any positions are still vacant, the new Executive Committee will automatically assume the responsibility of filling those positions during its first meeting. The final results of the election will be announced on or before September 3, 2019.
Election schedule is as follows: Election Term: Sept 2019 – August 2021 Candidacy submission end date: 11:59:59 PM Eastern Time, August 20, 2019 Deadline to withdraw: 11:59:59 PM Eastern Time, August 21, 2019 Final list of contestant publish date: August 22, 2019 Online voting begins: August 23, 2019 Online voting ends: 11:59:59 PM Eastern Time, August 26, 2019 Election result announcement: On or before September 3, 20019
